Abdomen and Back
Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, procedures are used to remove excess, saggy skin in patients with or without stubborn pockets of fat, and to tighten the stomach muscles. A curved incision is made from hip to hip slightly above the pubic area. The length of the incision depends on the size of the area to be treated. Through this incision, the abdominal area is realigned, tightened and repaired (as appropriate) to achieve an ideal contour. Excess skin is carefully excised, and the skin of the abdominal wall is drawn down to stitch at the pubic line and close the incision.
